How to delete Snapchat stories [Tutorial 2020] |
We love Snapchat for its fleeting nature. When we photograph our friends and followers, the photograph lasts only a handful of seconds before disappearing forever. This is not always good. After all, our followers would have to be in the application 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to see all our photos. Inevitably, it's easy to miss some things.
Sometimes a click is so good that we want to give our followers the chance to appreciate it. Enter Snapchat Stories. The Stories feature keeps our photos for 24 hours. Followers can see our history at will and always catch the best.
What happens after 24 hours? The photos disappear, of course.
What happens after 24 hours? The photos disappear, of course.
However, there are times when we would like a snapshot to disappear before that.
Fortunately, Snapchat allows you to delete snapshots from history at any time. That's how to delete Snapchat storiesAccess to Snapchat stories and photos
If you want to remove Snaps from My Story, then you already know how to save them there. But you may not know how to access your story to see the available photos. It's easy if you know what to do. Just go to the Snapchat camera and swipe left.
Here you can see the stories of the people you follow. You can also see your story. Just look at the top of the screen and find My story. You can interact with this line in several ways.
- Quickly click on My Story to see a presentation of the available snapshots.
- Press and hold My story or click on the three vertical dots on the left to expand the snapshots within the story.
- Click on the download icon to save the story (more on this later).
- Tap the add photo icon to take a snapshot right now and add it to the story.
Check out the enlarged view of the snap. Each photo must have a thumbnail image on the left. Directly to the right of that, there is a moment. This time it shows how long it has been part of the story. On the far right, you will see a number next to an eyeball icon. This number indicates the number of people who have seen this particular image. If there is nothing there, then nobody has seen your photo.
Save stories and photos
Before deleting anything from your story, you may want to save it. Remember, once a snap has been deleted, it cannot be recovered. Be careful and save your photos now.
You can save your entire story in the manner mentioned above. Simply tap the download icon in the icon row next to my story. This will save each frame of the story in the camera roll of your phone.
If Snapchat does not already have permission to access the camera roll, a window will appear asking for permission to save the snapshots on the camera roll. 3. Press Yes. This will take you to the phone settings, where you can edit Snapchat permissions.
Let's say you are not interested in saving your whole story. You just want to save one or two photos inside it. No problem.
- Expand My Story to see all snapshots.
- 3. Click on the snap you want to save.
- Click on the download icon in the lower-left corner.
As with the story, this will save the frame in the camera roll. You may have to give Snapchat permission to perform this action.
How to delete Snapchat stories
Now that you have saved all the snapshots you want, it is time to delete Snapchat stories that you no longer want others to see.
- Expand My Story to see all snapshots.
- 2. Press on the snap you want to delete.
- Touch the trash can icon in the lower-left corner.
- Press Delete to confirm.
Repeat this action for all the photos you want to delete. Wait, did you want to erase the whole story? I'm sorry, you are not lucky. Snapchat only allows you to delete individual images. You cannot delete them en masse. But hey, there is nothing that prevents you from deleting each of the images one by one by one.....
